Hexagonal Wire Mesh

Hexagonal wire mesh is one of the most popular and widely used types of woven mesh, especially among farmers who utilize it for various purposes. It is used for creating fences for poultry and birds, as well as for enclosing gardens and yards. It is also employed in the industrial and construction sectors for roofing sheds, surrounding pillars, and creating barriers to prevent the fall of materials and equipment. However, the application range of this product is much wider, and it is not possible to mention all of them here.

Hexagonal wire mesh is visually similar to chicken wire and gabions in terms of its weaving method and the shape of its hexagonal openings, which are known as bee nests.

In terms of wire diameter, hexagonal wire mesh is thicker than chicken wire and lighter than gabions. Overall, due to its lightweight nature, it is very cost-effective. It is available on the market in two types of galvanized wire: hot-dip galvanized and cold galvanized.

Hexagonal wire mesh is produced in rolls or coils, with each coil measuring 20 meters in length. The hexagonal openings are woven in two dimensions: one and one-quarter inch (equivalent to four centimeters) and two inches (equivalent to five centimeters).

Hexagonal wire mesh is available in three widths on the market: 120 cm, 150 cm, and 180 cm. Most Iranian fencing wire meshes are hot-dip galvanized and highly durable.

This product has an attractive appearance and when used for animal enclosures, it prevents the entry of harmful animals into bird premises. The openings allow water to pass through and in the case of fire, they do not prevent the entry of water for extinguishing the fire while still allowing easy airflow.
